2906Z regular update cancelled

A brief note here: since the distributed downloading feature is now under test, the 2906Z (06Z of December 29) update is cancelled, but the 2912Z will resumed. We are now switching to a "distributed downloading mode", which is still under test, and recent updates might be unstable. Stay tuned.

新标志+晴天钟小升级

　　鉴于晴天钟已成为2010年中国星空大会合作伙伴，需要一个正式的标志，不能再拿以前那个Word乱搞的“7”滥竽充数啦。经过半天的恶补AI+PS（我以前是用过，但是那是5.0和6.0时代了），再加上一点点创意，弄了一个如上的图标，大家看看还可以吧？以后这个标志将作为晴天钟的正式标志出现，如果大家明年1月去云南参加星空大会，便可以留意到。

　　另外，由于欧美的用户频频来信反映AP图像生成速度太慢（国内也偶有这样的报告），因此我今天进行了一些改动，去掉了背景，图像体积由原来的155K减小到11K左右，请大家看看速度是否快了一些。

　　为日环食进行的精密预报将在1月2日前后开始进行。

New logo + 7Timer! minor upgrade

I am pleased to annouce the availability of 7Timer!'s new logo as above. The meaning for this new logo is simple, it's in deep blue, which stands for clear sky, a circle means clear, and the clock is at seven, which means "7" and the start of a night.

This new logo is made since 7Timer! has recently become the cooperation partner of China Star Party 2010, which will be held at Yunnan, China in next January.

You may also notice the switch of the looking of APanel. There has been a large number of oversea users reporting the slow speed of loading. Therefore, I simplified the looking in order to raise the speed. The size of the graph is now only 6% as it was before (10K vs 155K), the generation time is also reduced by ~12%. Thanks to John for the suggestion. Please feel free send me comments if you find the upgrade has/hasn't improve your experience.

The precision forecast service for 2010 Annular Solar Eclipse will be available around Jan. 2 or so, the forecast region will be the annularity path in Asia.
